This is even funnier than Jason’s satirical article a few days ago: “The government-commissioned study says the old, inefficient ‘beer fridges’ that one in three Canadian households use to store their Molson and Labatt’s contribute significantly to global warming by guzzling gas- and coal-fired electricity.”
British environmental consultant Joanna Yarrow tells New Scientist magazine: “People need to understand the impact of their lifestyles. Clearly the environmental implications of having a frivolous luxury like a beer fridge are not hitting home. This research helps inform people — let’s hope it has an effect.”
Unbelievable. You can’t make stuff like this up. More at Small Dead Animals.

In Kansas, we have Flat Beer.
LOL
If they’re old fridges though, don’t they have freon? That means they’re simultaneously adding CO2 to the environment and contributing to warming and destroying ozone which would lead to loss of greenhouse gases and cooling- so it should be a wash.
LMAO, kreiz.
Waaaaaah I WANNA have two fridges!
I’m not sure what’s so funny about this. I guess wasting energy and polluting the earth is cool?
