Rocky Smith (that’s really his name) is four years old. A couple of weeks ago, he was playing chase at school. While running he spit on a ten year old: naughty behavior, he should be punished, but that should be the end of it, one would think. The headteacher - Anne Phipps - however, thought differently. Since the boy who was on spit is black, she thought that Rocky probably spit on his fellow student because he, Rocky, is a racist. She kicked off an investigation, in the end concluding that Rocky simply behaved like a naughtly little kid, and that there’s not a hint of racism in him.
Rocky’s parents, meanwhile, demand an apology from Mrs. Phipps. They say that it’s ridiculous that she actually assumed / believed that a four year old could be a racist. In fact, when Rocky’s mother asked her child what a racist is, Rocky answered that “it’s when you have races with your friends and the person who wins is it,” which makes clear that he doesn’t have any idea what the adults were talking about when they ‘investigated’ whether he’s a racist.
Even anti-racism organizations wonder why “it was investigated as a racist incident.”
Moonbattery points out that Rocky’s best friend is “a boy of Indian background.” Mb comments: “How cleverly the boy masks his white supremacist agenda!”
He also quotes Tunde Bright-Davies, chairwoman of the Racial Harassment Forum, who said that young children can most certainly be racist: a six year old told her he “used to be racist.” Mb: “You see, the kids confessed! (Presumably he has now been politically rehabilitated, just in time for elementary school.)”
Dymphna explains that Rocky isn’t racist, he’s smart: “He spit at a ten year-old black boy he was chasing. He got excited - probably couldn’t outrun him but figured the trajectory of his saliva might catch up with the older kid. That’s not racist, it’s smart.”
This event reminded me of something else I read about a while ago. After some googling I found this article: a four year old was suspended after he ‘hugged’ his teacher(s). The principal explained: “The prinicipal of La Vega Primary School sent a letter to the Blackwells that said the pre-kindergartener demonstrated ‘inappropriate physical behavior interpreted as sexual contact and/or sexual harassment’.”
After some serious complaints, the school dropped the “sexual harassment” charges / notes. Damarcus Blackwell’s son’s file now speaks of “inappropriate physical contact.”
Every single one of these teachers should be fired. If you think that a four year old is thinking about sex when he hugs you, you’ve got serious issues. Instead of suspending the little Blackwell, the schoolboard would be wise to investigate the teacher who complained about him. And if you think that a four year old is probably a member of the KKK, only because he behaves in a way normal for four year olds, you probably suffer from over-political correctness, which should be treated as a disease these days as well.

You should have clarified that the incident occurred in England, because that explains a lot.
The other one occured in the US though.

I remember the “sexual harassment” case. I remember thinking that the teacher involved needed to be distanced from kids and get a therapist. If you’re interpreting a toddlers hug as sexual you have VERY serious issues that need IMMEDIATE attention.
This last incident reminds me of another British story:

Apparently “bah bah black sheep” is racist, so he’ll be a rainbow sheep instead.
I guess I should just laugh (instead of following my initial instinct to knock my head against a wall) since these are but the more harmless antics of PC, and not the actually harmful kind of PC that actually harms people in the name of “respecting multiculturalism” (respecting the “right” of Muslims to repress their women even within western countries, for instance).
Amazing that fake outrage is such a powerful phenomenon. Frightening too.
I like this part of it Lynx
Let kids be kids.
This personaly makes me so mad. That people could actually accuse a four year old for being racist, when he dosnt even know the meaning of that word! Its appauling, and pethetic. Its amazing how politicaly correct it has gotten recently. In my opinion it has gotten TOO politicaly correct. My daughter cant go a school day without getting called racist. She gets called a Honkey and a Whitey, She once heard someone shout ‘All white people should be dead’ and ‘Im gonna stab all these white people’
And yet, they school did not in any way deal with the situation. Its appauling. Now my daughter dreads every school day.
The teachers at her school even get called racist! If someone black or asian is causing riot in the class, and then gets blamed the teacher or student is immediatly accused of being a racist.
Things like ‘Bah Bah Black Sheep’ and saying ‘Merry Christmas’ have been in discussion about whether or not should be said because it ‘May cause offence’
I cannot understand why this is happening, it just isnt right.
Im sure many other people can understand where im coming from.
Elle: yes we can. In the Netherlands we have a tradition with ‘Sinterklaas’ - the dutch version of Santa Clause. For a couple of years civil rights movement have protested against it because his assistants are black (actually whites with black make-up). They say it’s racist while nobody ever thought about it like that.
