Paris Hilton was just ordered back to jail in Lynwood to serve out the remainder of her sentence! She’ll get credit for at least 5 days already served.
Hilton left the courtroom in tears, screaming, “Mom, Mom, Mom.” Hilton was also heard saying “It’s not right.”
One witness said that Paris was “physically escorted” out of the courtroom by a female deputy.
Talk Left adds:
The court spokesman says at 12:30 pm PT after the hearing that the Sheriff called the court and asked if he would modify his sentence. The Court told the Sheriff to file the appropriate pleadings and the Sheriff never did. The issue of her medical condition never came up at the hearing because no papers were ever filed about it.
Get ready for the appeal and a fight over whether the appeals court will stay the court’s order today pending the outcome. She could be out today if the appeals court stays the order.
CNN’s viewers are unloading on them for the wall-to-wall coverage of this crap. The anchors sonorously agree, then go back to covering it.
Let me first say, I actually feel bad for Paris.
This. is. ridiculous.
Good Lord, look at the press coverage. They chased the police car. They stand there in their dozens, as a bunch of jackals.
Paris Hilton should - of course - be treated like any other American. This means that she should serve her sentence.
But the media coverage. Are they kidding me? Is this truly the only thing people are interested in?
They are chasing her, taking pictures, as if she’s some kind of circus act.
Sickening.

Sickening, yes, but don’t feel bad for Paris. Paris has concentrated on turning her life into a circus act for the publicty.
Well, true, but, somehow I think she didn’t quite anticipate this
No, she didn’t anticipate the jail part, but she brought the publicity on to herself.
But it is the morons who are interested in her every move and the media that abandons real news stories (like the firing of Peter Pace) to obsess endlessly over every little detail. It really is all about the money.
Makes me miss the days before cable .
You should blame Paris herself for the paparazzi’s behavior. If she had shown a little dignity they wouldn’t be doing this. Instead, when the judge orders her back to jail, she SCREAMS, cries out, “That’s not right!” calls out “Mom! Mom! Mom!” to her mother in the courtroom, and then as she is escorted out, needing two officers to hold each arm, she continues to sob uncontrollably.
Come on, Michael. The press didn’t make a circus out of this. She did.
The obsession is definitely silly but the sobbing “I have lived such a life of privilege the idea of being held responsible for anything I do is going to kill me” attitude is absolutely incredible. Otherwise proud men and women are sentenced to PRISON, not jail mind you, for many years everyday in the courtrooms I work in and I have yet to see one of them act this way.

Yeah, Paris didn’t exactly come off as a “real con”, did she? Pathetic little crybaby.
It amazes me that people about to be sent away for serious time are usually respectful toward the judge and often show remorse.
I do not justify Paris Hilton, but her suffering is sad. I have read that because of overcrowding, offenses like hers are discounted by 9/10, so she would have been released already, and that further she would not have been punished with jail time.
The delight people take in her suffering is bizarre and I am ashamed.. She is a person who has devoted her life to being famous and to being empty, but her LIFE is punishment enough.
I ask any of you: would you like to be her, whether she is in prison, wearing an ankle bracelet, or “partying”? I feel sorry for her and for us as a the society and culture that made her famous.
The Sheriff is an avid Scientologist who has a history of pampering celebs—including giving Mel Gibson a uniform and special “Reserve” status—perhaps to pursue his “religion’s” Hollyweird agenda.
Whoever said Hollyweird is “a Sargasso of the Imagination” [Nathaniel West?] could not have foreseen how deep into the Tar Pits of the Soul this LA Basin of squalid hype and nepotism has oozed.
[...] And there’s days like this when you shake your head say really who cares? Well, some folks feel sorry for Paris and some want to see justice served. I just tuned it out all day, because really somewhere in L.A. [...]
