Sad, sad news for Tony Snow: his cancer has returned. Snow said some very nice things about Elizabeth Edwards and praised her courage and positive attitude. Lets hope that Snow will keep his spirit up as well. For now, he seems to:
“He said he’s going to beat it again,” Perino said in an emotional morning briefing with White House reporters. “When I talked to him, he was in very good spirits.”
The cancer has, sadly, spread to his liver. This is horrible. As Red State asks, please keep Tony Snow in your thoughts and prayers.
U.S. president George W. Bush: “His attitude is one that he is not going to let this whip him. My attitude is that we need to pray for him.”

All politics nuts: Shut up and wish for the best.
Exactly.
Domajot…you are, unfortunately, an optimist.
I looked at the comments on Wonkette. They were almost uniformly vicious and gleeful.
God, what a place US politics has arrived at.
It would be nice if the folks who condemned the sneers on the Edwards did the same for Snow in this regard.
Somehow, I don’t think so.
When politics reaches such depths, one despairs of any hope for conversation or humanistic debate.
Marlow: I decided to take a look as well and… I’m equally disgusted. I won’t link to it either. That’s… something to remember.
Omigod!
I checked, and Marlow is right!
The post on Wonkette is okay, but the comments are disgusting!
I wish I could do a psychological study of who these people are that lurk in anonymity and surface with their venom. Some sites seem to attract the ‘cream of the crop’. There is a(nameless, for this comment) site that I used to read. Although I disagreed violently with their politics, it posted some intelligent and interesting articles. But the comments were sickening and came rapid fire. It seemed these folks lived for the bile they could spew. I lhad to stop reading.
